Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, SAS Nagar, witnessed a day of enthusiasm at its youth fest, Prathibha 2012, on Saturday. The fest saw the participation of more than 45 institutes from Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

The management-cum-youth fest was sponsorsed by Hindustan Times. A total of 18 cultural and managerial activities were held at the event, some of which were western dance, singing, bhangra, giddha, folk dance, group songs, poem recitation, traditional songs, debates, elocution and theatrical performances such as mime, skits and plays.

More than 200 students participated in the fest, which also saw performances by singer Raja Bath and Johan Reckless.

The festival was inaugurated by SDM, SAS Nagar,Amit Talwar. About the fest, he said, “Such events not only help students develop their managerial skills, but also give them practical exposure.”

Adding to it, JS Bedi, chairman of Gian Jyoti Group of Insitutions, said, “Active participation in such cultural events helps students mitigate stress, thereby giving an impetus to their overall personality development.”
