Two policemen, who had gone to help a hapless mother, faced anxious moments when they came to know that their motorcycle had been stolen.

Responding to a distress call of a woman whose mentally unstable son, identified as Sarin, had locked her at their Sector-21 house, the cops reached the house on a motorcycle.

As soon as they entered the house, Sarin locked the door from outside and fled with their bike. The policemen then called up their colleagues, who rescued them.

After some time, the police came to know that a youth had abandoned a motorcycle and snatched a scooter from a girl from near Sector 5 police station.

The cops from Sector 2 police post reached the spot and found the cops’ bike there. It came out that Sarin had abandoned the motorcycle as it ran out of fuel.

Police booked Sarin for snatching scooter that belonged to Anamika of Zirakpur. Sarin had threatened her and snatched her two-wheeler. Police sources said the mother and her son (Sarin) were untraceable and were last seen leaving in their car.
