Google-owned Motorola has reportedly filed a patent for an 'electronic stamp', a tattoo on the neck which helps cut out background noise while calling and also functions as a lie detector.

Motorola said that a user speaking falsehoods may exhibit different galvanic skin response than a truth-telling individual.

According to metro.co.uk, the device, dubbed 'electronic tattoo 110' would have a transceiver embedded in it to enable wireless communication, and would be charged with a power supply that could run from a battery or solar power.

The Google-owned company said that communication can be improved and enhanced with a method and system for reducing the acoustic noise in environments with such a technology.

However, the lie-detecting ability has concerned some like Rik Myslewski, who said that if he calls his boss to tell him he his sick, when actually he is reading a novel and enjoying at home, he doesn't want his phone ratting on him.

Motorola, further said that the device can also be applied to an animal, the report added.
