A Mumbai-based model whipped out a gun at a retail outlet in the heart of Delhi to stop two men who were allegedly trying to molest her, reports said Tuesday.

The incident happened around 9am on Monday when the woman, on a visit to Delhi, had gone with her friends to the outlet near the Karol Bagh Metro station, PTI reported.

Police said the woman was waiting her turn at the billing counter when she suddenly pulled out a gun accusing two men present there of passing lewd comments and trying to touch her inappropriately.

The two accused fled the scene by the time the shop manager intervened and other customers gathered around. Police were thereafter informed and a case registered at Rajendra Nagar police station by the woman. Police said they have identified the accused from the CCTV grabs at the outlet. However, no arrests have been made in the case as yet.

The weapon the woman pulled out from her bag at the store is yet to to be identified. Police have asked the model to join the probe, and her response is awaited.
