Anyone interested in gardening knows the relevance of weeding. In fact, those with a green thumb strongly believe that removing unwanted weeds is as important as planting new seeds.

Our lives are no less than a beautiful garden that needs its own share of weeding. During the course of our life we interact with innumerable people. Some of them give us immense joy and happiness while others bring tears and sadness. Unfortunately, we carry on with both sets of people without realising their impact on us. We often carry the burden of relationships that weigh us down.

Every once in a while, reflect on individuals who have knowingly or unknowingly become a part of your life. Make a mental note of all those who have done more harm than good. Consciously distance yourself from such people. Weeding out individuals who have consistently discouraged or hurt you is imperative for your well-being.

One of the best ways to maintain a healthy state of mind is by surrounding yourself with genuine people. Create a group of people who will help you swim through the lows of life. Share your fears with them as brazenly as you would celebrate your achievements. Take their advice since they want nothing but the best for you.

Forging a strong bond with the right people is pivotal to usher a ray of hope into one’s life. Negativity is a weed that can destroy the very essence of our life. It drags us down both mentally and emotionally. A little time and effort is all one needs to savour tranquillity. Weed out negative elements to allow the garden of life to bloom with hope and happiness.
