Talk of virus and we immediately think of computers. We always take care in protecting our computers from virus attacks; but do we stop our minds from being hit by virus?
Do we ever bother to check whether our minds are virus infected? The virus of hatred, jealousy, anger, stress,
ill-feeling, lying, distortion of facts, accumulation of disproportionate income, cheating all equally harm the mind.
Mind has a tendency to keep memory of bad things that happen to us. It flashes on and off and we are easily caught up between the bad and the good.
A calm mind is never a problem whereas a disturbed mind is always a problem not only to the self but also to others. It easily mirrors on our face. Our face shows up whether we are disturbed or not.
The first step is to inculcate the quality of discarding ill-thoughts from our mind. Second, don’t allow them at all to re-enter the mind. If it is to harm us, then better it be blocked just like an anti-virus.
The best way to keep our mind clean is to begin the day with a clean slate. Don’t write anything on it. Keep the day’s ill-feelings buried before we sleep and wake up like a fresh dewdrop. Think of good things, always. Thank God for all His blessings.
Live in the present. This makes our day bright and beautiful. Feeling good makes all the difference. Smile is an anti-virus. It prevents us from being dull. It costs nothing but brings forth an aura of divinity all around.
The mind is like a clean sky. Dark clouds come and go. Thunder makes it shiver occasionally but the good and bright days too come. It makes us believe that everything is okay. Freshness spreads. Mind is the master of what we are. It is for us to keep it healthy and bright.
