Wasim Akram has been appointed to the Pakistan Cricket Board's inquiry committee looking into the national team's poor performance on its just completed tour of Australia.

Akram replaces ex Test batsman and PCB director of cricket development Haroon Rasheed, who resigned from the inquiry committee last week. Chief Operating Officer Wasim Bari heads the committee which includes Director of Operations Zakir Khan, Yawar Saeed, legal advisor Tafazzul Rizvi and governing board member Wazir Ali Khoja.

The committee is expected to meet later this week and submit its findings by the end of February.
