Contempt of court notice TO BAI president

NEW DELHI: Badminton Association of India (BAI) president VK Verma and one of his aides Girish Natu were issued a contempt of court notice for misquoting the Supreme Court August 19 order in its communication to the members of BAI, the Badminton Asia Confederation and the Badminton World Federation. The notice said that the SC had just set aside the Jodhpur High Court's interim order curtailing Verma's power, while Natu, on Verma's directions, wrote to the bodies that all cases against his election have been quashed. The notice has asked them to aplogise and issue a clarification within 15 days.
