Ravichandran Ashwin was the top scorer with 58 as India were dismissed for 274 to set Sri Lanka a daunting victory target of 386 runs on the fourth day of the third and final Test match against Sri Lanka at Colombo on Monday.
Resuming on their third-day score of 21 for the loss of three wickets, skipper Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma began in a manner that was assured and in contrast to the top-order collapse at the end of play on the third day, determined to see off the threat posed by pacer Dhammika Prasad.

Kohli was out caught for 21 after pushing at a Nuwan Pradeep delivery going away from his body, the score at 64 for four.
Sharma was joined at the crease by Stuart Binny and the pair took India's lead past the 200-run mark. After reaching his half-century, however, Sharma threw away his wicket, hooking Prasad for a catch to Pradeep at deep square leg.
Binny scored a brisk 38 off 45 deliveries and Naman Ojha scored 11 off 18 to take India to lunch with the healthy lead.
