Australia decides to bat against South Africa

Australia captain Ricky Ponting has won the toss and decided to bat against South Africa in a pre-World Cup practice game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Both teams can field their full 15-member squad, with a maximum of 11 to bat and field.

In earlier practice matches, Australia lost to India by 38 runs in Bangalore on Sunday while South Africa beat Zimbabwe by eight wickets at Chennai on Saturday.
