The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) on Monday said the ban on off-spinner Harbhajan Singh from playing in the rest of the IPL matches for slapping Indian teammate S Sreesanth, would be a lesson for cricketers to behave properly on-field.

"The decision is on expected lines. Let this be a lesson for all criketers that they should not lose their temper and do anything like this in the future", KCA Secretary TC Mathew told PTI in Thiruvananthapuram.

On the warning issued to Sreesanth, he said the Kerala player should maintain "decorum and diplomacy" to avoid aggression on the field.
