Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan, whose team failed to qualify for the World Cup quarterfinals, has said that they would prove themselves during the ongoing three-match ODI series against Australia.
Bangladesh had crashed out of the World Cup after finishing fifth in Group B with six points.
"We will have to do better than what we did at the World Cup. We have been fortunate to get another chance to prove ourselves. What we will be looking for is to play some good cricket," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Shakib, as saying.
"We might not have the same pressure we had at the World Cup and will be trying to put up our best performance against them," he added.
The first game of the series is being played at Dhaka. The remaining games will be played on April 11 and 13.
