BCCI depriving youngsters chance to train with Lillee: Kapil

BCCI's diktat asking budding pacers to shun MRF Pace Academy and instead train at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) would end up doing more harm than good as the youngsters would be denied a chance to groom themselves under the legendary Dennis Lillee, feels former India skipper Kapil Dev.
"...The vital point for consideration here is whether Lillee is helping Indian pace bowlers and how our bowlers have been helped in shaping up after practicing under him at MRF Academy," said Kapil.
"MRF is doing a good job. What the BCCI could not do for the last over 20 years, the MRF academy has done. Even then BCCI does not want to recognize them. Lillee and MRF have been doing good work to help our youngsters," he added.
Kapil felt the academy should be lauded for its role in helping pacers from all over the world.
"We should support them. Anyone, who trains our boys in the game of cricket should be supported. Tomorrow, Wasim Akram may come to India, he should be welcomed by us but the BCCI has its own agenda," he said.
"I feel sad about this decision preventing our bowlers to train under Lillee. Ultimately, the game is the sufferer," he added.
