BCCI's Finance Committee President Jyotiraditya Scindia on Monday said that the decision of the cricket board to sack Rajasthan Royals and King's XI, Punjab from IPL should be respected by all.
While refraining from making any comment on the issue, Scindia said," I am an office bearer of Board of Control for Cricket in India. So it won't be right on my part to express any comment on the issue,".
It was BCCI's decision and all should respect it, Scindia, who is also the Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry told reporters here.
Referring to the Commonwealth Games, he felt that one should look at it from a positive angle. The opening CWG function and other events were organised in a wonderful way, he pointed out, adding that it would benefit the country in the days to come.
Scindia also expressed happiness at the country receiving so many medals in the CWG, adding that new talent has come to light in this event.
About the scams which have come to the fore in the run up to the CWG, he said that if the government is of the view to hold inquiry into it after the mega event is over, it must be carried out.
