BCCI's Ground's and Pitch Committee Chairman Daljeet Chaudhary will inspect the controversial Green Park pitch on Wednesday and issue necessary instruction to meet the international standards set by the International Cricket Council.
The Green Park wicket, which drew criticism after the third and final Test between India and South Africa concluded in three days in April, would be hosting a one-day international match between India and England on November 20.
Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) Secretary PD Pathak told PTI that Chaudhary would be in city for two days and will help prepare a flawless pitch.
"Chaudhary will reach here tomorrow and inspect the pitch. He will ensure that pitch has been developed as per ICC rule. He will also instruct the pitch curator to ensure that the wicket is in good condition for India-England match starting from 20 November this year," he said on Wednesday.
The UPCA will send the report and pictures of the wicket to the BCCI. And, if the Board finds anything more to be done that would be implemented, Pathak added.
