The Indian cricket board is mulling over three options regarding the holding of the second edition of the Indian Premier League, which will be discussed at tomorrow's Working Committee meeting in Mumbai.
"One option is to have a truncated tournament. The second involves holding some matches in India and the remaining overseas (including in South Africa and England), the third option is to call it off," sources in one of the IPL franchises said.
The meeting of the Working Committee has been convened urgently following the cloud of uncertainty over the lucrative Twenty20 event because of security concerns as it clashes with the Lok Sabha elections.
After the Working Committee meeting, the BCCI will talk to the franchise owners before a final decision is taken, the sources added.
