Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is among scores of Mumbaikars mourning the loss of Mumbai Indians in the IPL final to Chennai Super Kings but said the better team won the popular T20 tournament.

"Gloom and depression!! Mumbai Indians lost," he wrote on his blog.

However, he felt it was a brave act on Sachin Tendulkar's part to come out and play despite injury.

According to Big B, Mumbai Indians lost due to a better performance by the Chennai players.

Analysing the IPL final, he said Mumbai left it for too long to recover the run rate and by then it was climbing so high it became an impossibility to catch up.

Lauding M S Dhoni, Bachchan said the Team India captain was very calm and calculating...shrewd in his planning and execution.

"He played it perfect tonight. I also felt that Mumbai left it to (Kieron) Pollard too late.

They should have brought him on much earlier to bring on the pressure to the CSK. Anyway, the better team won and Dhoni and his mates must be extremely happy to have recovered ground in this tournament, to finally come out victorious," he said.
