Cricket Australia Manager Michael Brown is investigating the altercation row involving Andrew Symonds at a Brisbane hotel on Sunday night and will submit a report on the incident to CA boss James Sutherland.
Sutherland will make a public statement on the issue after going through the report and speaking to Symonds.
"General Manager (Cricket) Michael Brown has and continues to interview a wide range of those involved in and around the incident, including taking eyewitness account detail, and a report to CA Chief Executive Officer James Sutherland is expected to be finalised either late this evening or early on Wednesday," A cricket Australia release said.
"A final recommendation will be determined after James Sutherland receives the final written report, and he and Andrew Symonds have an opportunity for first-hand discussion, as well as taking feedback from captain Ricky Ponting and coach Tim Nielsen, who had each left Brisbane before the incident," the release added.
The star all rounder found himself in trouble yet again when a media report said that he allegedly picked up a fight with a member of public at the pub of the hotel on Sunday.
Symonds though denied that he provoked the altercation and his claim was even supported by the hotel staff.
