Aakash Chopra has been named Delhi captain for the first two games of the Ranji Trophy, which gets underway from November 3. The team wears a more or less similar look to last year, except for newcomers Darshan Kajania and Pawan Suyal.

A left-arm spinner, Kajania turned out for the state in the one-dayers last season, while Suyal is a new face in Delhi cricket. In fact, the seamer played just one under-22 match a few days back. So, all eyes would be on the youngster to justify his selection.

Delhi would need to put in an improved showing if they are to improve upon last season's standings. They missed a semi-final berth by some distance, finishing fourth in their group behind champions Mumbai, Gujarat and Saurashtra.
