Watching an IPL match at the Sardar Patel Stadium could turn out to be a bittersweet experience for cricket lovers on Monday. In the wake of terror threats, the city police have arranged for heavy security cover in and around the complex. According to a police official here, the spectators have been asked to reach the venue at least four to five hours in advance.
According to Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) sources, the number of entry points into the stadium will be few to ensure proper checking.
But, the good news is that tickets for the Royals’ home matches here are quite reasonably priced. The lowest comes at Rs 200 (East end) and it goes up to Rs 4,000 (sky box seat). Upper and lower pavilion seats are for Rs 800 and 1000 respectively with an AC box seat costing 2000.
