The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Saturday invited pitch curator Raj Kumar from Himachal Pradesh. He was invited to the Capital for advice on how to improve the track at the Ferozeshah Kotla, which has been constantly criticised ever since a one-day match between India and Sri Lanka was abandoned in December 2009.

A DDCA official said that since Rajkot's curator Rasik Makwana could not come, Raj Kumar was called for his expertise. Raj Kumar has advised to scrap an inch of the soil on the three center tracks and put fresh grass on them. The work on the tracks is expected to begin after the hot weather tournament is over next week.
