The DDCA's executive committee and cricket improvement committee (CIC) appear to have made little headway in reaching a consensus over selection panels and support staff for the Ranji and age-group teams.

One name that the committees can't agree on is that of Chetan Chauhan as chairman of the senior selection committee. "Chauhan is a member of the ad-hoc committee that will deliberate on the names in the selection panel. How can someone clear his own name," a source told HT. The CIC has instead recommended former India player, Vivek Razdan, to head the Ranji selection panel. The differences appear sharper in the u-22 category. The CIC wants Sanjeev Sharma to head the panel instead of Rakesh Shukla. Besides, the committee has also struck down the name of Amit Bhandari as coach, saying he has little experience.
