Police had to resort to lathicharge as fans thronged the Delhi team tent after their 5-run victory over Services here at the DPS ground. While five policemen whisked away Sehwag, Ishant was stranded for a long time in the midst of the crowd, who admired him and also teased him for his lean look.

Sehwag made 35 and took a wicket to help Delhi qualify. In the other match, Yuvraj top-scored with 27 as Punjab beat J&K by five wickets to be the second North Zone team through to the knockouts which will be held six months later.
