India captian MS Dhoni praised his team, especially Zaheer Khan and VVS Laxman for their performances. Commenting on Zaheer he said, "If you look at the positive end, the youngsters are getting groomed under him. Of course, it's the coach's job the players but when you have someone like him, it reduces the coach's workload. Also, Zaheer is very good under pressure.
On Sreesanth the captain said, "I told him that if he took six or seven minutes to bowl an over, it would be difficult to play him. So, the first thing was to bring down the time around four minutes. He did well in this game and the over-rate was good. You need to have him under control. It's good for everyone - for him, for us, the side, opposition, umpires and the spectators. He had speical words for Laxman too. "That's (Laxman's back problem) beyond my control, it's between the physio and Laxman. Hopefully, it will be okay for the next few years. He played a very special innings. Whenever you see him not scoring in a couple of innings you know something very special is coming. At the end, the 96 he made, mattered. It would have been lovely if he got to a hundred."
