India’s ODI captain MS Dhoni’s love for motorcycles has once again come to the fore after his cheeky reply to former English bowling spearhead Darren Gough went viral on Twitter.
It all started when Dhoni tweeted a picture of his two-stroke, single cylinder bike called Shegun on Sunday and expressed his desire to restore his bike.
How many of u agree this was 1of the most exciting 2stroke single cylinder bikes to ride, need to restore mine quickly pic.twitter.com/pdRytfwnzx— Mahendra Singh Dhoni (@msdhoni) September 27, 2015
To which Gough replied with a picture of his own Ducati bike and boasted “not as good as this”.
Surprisingly, Dhoni responded to Gough’s tweet within minutes by showing off a picture of him riding a Confederate Hellcat x132 with a cheeky reply, “Ur right (but) this one is better mate.”
Dough initially thought Dhoni was riding a “Harley Davidson” and replied “haha. It’s a close one ! My @DucatiUK v your Harley”
And then came Dhoni’s supporters. They sent a flood of tweets tagging Gough and asking him to correct himself since he had wrongly identified the Confederate Hellcat x132 as a Harley Davidson bike.
Gough finally corrected his error and reasoned he never really looked at the bike and named the bike based on the clothes Dhoni was wearing at that time.
In the series of tweets, Dhoni also replied to another Twitter user who asked whether the Indian captain is still facing the problem of spare parts for the bike.
@kirti_7 it's a big problem so if u have any spare parts do let me know, need to restore two of mine— Mahendra Singh Dhoni (@msdhoni) September 27, 2015
For which the Indian ODI captain replied, “It’s a big problem so if u have any spare parts do let me know, need to restore two of mine.”
