The Delhi Daredevils’ Sri Lankan recruit Tillakaratne Dilshan was on Wednesday diagnosed with stones in his gall bladder after the cricketer was rushed to hospital following complaint of severe abdominal pain.

However, a team official said that the Lankan batsman “does not have any plans to go under the knife immediately and would take a call later”. “He woke up with severe pain around 3 am We took him to a hospital where the X-ray revealed stones. But there are no plans to remove the stones now,” the official said.

“He has been given some medication as of now. There is nothing much to worry and he is doing fine,” he added. Dilshan has been out of the Daredevils’ scheme of things of late after scoring just 32 runs from the four matches he played for the Delhi outfit this season.
