The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has recalled coaches Raju Tandon and Randhir Singh from Srinagar where they’d gone with the U-14 team for the Dhruv Pandove tournament.
The two coaches have been blamed for manhandling the kids. It has been learnt through sources that the kids were up to some mischief and that forced the coaches to scold them and eventually manhandle them.
The DDCA’s decision to recall the coaches has left the team without a coach even though there are two games left to play.
“We have recalled the coach and assistant coach as to our knowledge they misbehaved with the kids. The behaviour of the coaches was immature,” said Sneh Bansal, general secretary of the DDCA. In the absence of coaches, Bansal said that team manager KK Nigam will take over the responsibilities.
