Though India coach Gary Kirsten did not comment on Thursday’s decision, he accepted the system was a good option. “We tried that in Sri Lanka last time. There have been some problems and they need to be ironed out before implementing it.”

Mahela Jayawardene endorsed its implementation and said, “there are certain areas where you can always improve.”
