Ekta Bisht 10-7-8-5 helps India thrash Pakistan in ICC Women World Cup qualifier
Ekta Bisht picked up the fourth-best haul by an Indian bowler in ODI cricket as they thrashed Pakistan by seven wickets to continue their unbeaten run in the ICC Women’s World Championship.
Ekta Bisht picked up an amazing match haul of 10-7-8-5 as India bowled out Pakistan for 67 to register a seven-wicket win in the ICC Women’s World Cup qualifier. Pakistan’s score was their 10th lowest in ODIs, having once being bowled out for 23 against Australia in 1997 in Melbourne.

Bisht’s haul is the fourth-best by an Indian bowler in ODIs. Mamatha Maben has the best haul by an Indian bowler in ODIs when she finished with figures of 6.2-3-10-6 against Sri Lanka in Kandy in 2004.
Other than Maben, Deepti Sharma and Jhulan Goswami are the other Indian bowlers to have taken a six-wicket haul. Sharma took 6/20 in the match against Sri Lanka in Ranchi in 2016 while Goswami picked up 6/31 against New Zealand in Southgate in 2011.
In her spell, Bisht bowled a total of seven maidens, the joint-most by any bowler in ODIs. Suthershini Sivanantham of Sri Lanka also bowled seven maidens and she achieved the feat against Pakistan in Moors Cricket Club ground in 2002. Her match figures read 9.3-7-2-5.
India have already secured qualification for the 2017 Women’s World Cup which will be held in England.
