England is 172-4 at tea on the opening day of the first Ashes test against Australia, with Peter Siddle taking two wickets in the second session.
Siddle claimed two almost identical wickets, enticing outside edges from Kevin Pietersen and Paul Collingwood.
Pietersen was caught by Ricky Ponting at second slip for 43, while Collingwood gave a catch to Marcus North at third slip and was out for just 4.
Earlier Andrew Strauss, after winning the toss, was dismissed without scoring from the third ball of the day from Ben Hilfenhaus and Jonathan Trott was bowled by Shane Watson for 29.
The not out batsmen are Alastair Cook on 60 and Ian Bell who is on 26.
