Discipline has never been Andrew Flintoff's strong point and England's talismanic all-rounder was reprimanded for missing the team bus during a pre-Ashes bonding session in Belgium.
As part of their Ashes build-up, the players were scheduled to visit the trenches in Ypres on Saturday to pay tribute to the soldiers who died during the first World War. While Andrew Strauss and his men turned up on time, Flintoff went missing, prompting the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to reprimand him.
"We can confirm Andrew did miss the team bus and the matter has been dealt with internally with what is considered an appropriate response," an England spokesman was quoted as saying by 'The Guardian'.
The all-rounder, who is set to return to the England fold after a five month hiatus owing to a knee injury, did attend a team meeting later in the day after finally catching up with his teammates.
Earlier this year, Flintoff almost missed England's flight to the West Indies after turning up late at the airport.
His worst West Indies memory, however, was of the 'pedalo' incident during the 2007 World Cup when Flintoff and some of his drunken teammates had to be rescued from sea.
