Legendary West Indian all-rounder Sir Garry Sobers will be felicitated on the 35th anniversary of his knighthood and some of the game's biggest icons, including Indian batting maestro Sunil Gavaskar, will be present at the May 15 function in Barbados.

The gala 'Knight to Remember' dinner, tickets for which are priced at USD 180, will have former West Indian legends Wes Hall, Vivian Richards and Brian Lara as well as former Australian captain Ian Chappell in attendance.

The players will speak about the 73-year-old Sobers' influence on cricket.

The event will be hosted by Tony Cozier, according to a statement issued by the organisers.

Considered the best all-rounder to have ever played the game, Sobers scored 8,032 runs and took 235 wickets in the 93 Tests that he competed in.

Tickets for the event are available online at www.garrysobers.com.
