It appears unlikely that explosive West Indies batsman Chris Gayle will find a place in the third and fourth one-dayers against India to be played in Antigua.

The Jamaican batsman was left out of the Pakistan series, and despite his stunning form in the Indian Premier League, was ignored for the India series - the T20 followed by two ODIs in Trinidad.

The West Indies Cricket Board has said Gayle's selection would be decided only after a clear-the-air meeting with the board for a radio interview the batsman gave in April attacking the board. However, that meeting has not taken place, an insider told HT.
