India beat B'desh by 46 runs, clinch series

India displayed a pure professional performance on Saturday as they beat host Bangladesh comfortably by 46 runs at the second ODI at Mirpur, Dhaka.
Debutant Piyush Chawla was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets. Zaheer two top crucial wickets while Powar and Yuvraj Singh also picked up wickets as India bowlers slowed the Bangladesh run flow during their chase.
Bangladesh never looked like reaching the 284 mark as wickets kept tumbling one by one.
Mortoza was the last batsman to go after a quickfire 44 of just 22 balls. Mohammad Rafique was out for 14 runs.
Habibul Bashar (43) was Piyush Chawla's second wicket. Rahim on 35 runs caught by karthik of Yuvraj Singh's first over.
Aftab Ahmed looked good at 40 when Ramesh Powar bowled him at the 19th over.
Piyush Chawla took his first wicket by scalping Mohammad Ashraful for 12 runs.
Other batsman dismissed were Javed Omar (11) caught by Karthik of Zaheer Khan. Saqibul Hasan made just 5 runs before he was caught by Dhoni of Zaheer Khan.
Earlier, opener Tamim Iqbal was run out for 7 runs.
Boosted by Gautam Gambhir's solid century, India scored 284/8 and set a target of 285 runs for Banladesh to win the the second ODI in Mirpur.
The last batsman out was Romesh Powar (leg before off Mortoza) after making just five runs.
Debutant Piyush Chawla was stumped by Mushfiqur Rahim off Abdur Razzak.
Dinesh Karthik out leg before off Mohammad Rafique after making 6 runs.
Dinesh Mongia (17) looked set to accerlerate the total but was caught by Mohammad Rafique off Abdur Razzak while attempting a big six.
Earlier, a brilliant century by opener Gambhir lifted India's chance to score a big total. Imeediately after, he was bowled by Syed Rasel in the same (38th) over.
Earlier, Yuvraj Singh was caught and bowled by Mohammad Rafique for just 24 runs.
Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni were in total command when Dhoni was caught by Mushfiqur Rahim of Mohammad Rafique steer India to 125/1 at the 25th over.
Openers Sehwag and Gambhir had given a solid start to India steering the score to 43 runs before Sehwag was caught by Javed omar of Syed Rasel after scoring a brisk 21 runs.
After another rain delay, India won the toss and elected to bat. The match has been restricted to 49 overs.
