If India win their third one-day international (ODI) on Sunday, they will have achieved a unique feat. It will be the first time they would have defeated an Australian team in every single international match played during a tour of this country.
The Australians have not even managed a draw yet. They lost the two-match Test series 2-0, and are one down in the three-match ODI series, with one match having been washed out by rain.
Conversely, the Goa match is a must-win for Australia. “The match is a very important one. All the guys would really like to have a win under the belt,” said Michael Clarke, who will lead the Aussies.
