India defeated Sri Lanka by 9 wickets in the third T20 match of the series at Visakhapatnam to clinch the series 2-1 on Sunday.

Over 13: 4 runs off the over. India 69/1

Over 12: 3 runs off the over. India 65/1

Over 11: 4 runs off the over. India 62/1

Over 10: 4 runs off the over. India 58/1

Over 9: 9 runs off the over. India 54/1

Over 8: 6 runs off the over. India 45/1

Over 7: 4 runs off the over. India 39/1

Over 6: 10 runs off the over and India also loses the wicket of Rohit Sharma. India 35/0

Over 5: Dhawan and Rohit Sharma decided to step up their game as 8 runs came off the over. India 25/0

Ashwin’s supreme display was backed by his team-mates as pacers Ashish Nehra (1/17), Jasprit Bumrah (1/10), left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja (1/6) and part-timer Suresh Raina (2/11) all contributed.

Sri Lanka’s batsmen could never get going with Dasun Shanaka (19) being their highest scorer. They were bowled out in the 18th over of their alloted 20 overs.
