Hasan Ali will undergo “progressive rehab” and will play for Pakistan Cricket team in the first Test vs West Indies cricket team starting on April 21 only if he is 100 percent fit

In a major setback to Pakistan, young pacer Hasan Ali got his groin injured while fielding in the first innings of the three-day practice match in Montego Bay against the President XI, thus creating doubt over his presence in the upcoming three-match Test series against the West Indies.

“On clinical assessment there is strain to one of his adductor muscles. He will undergo progressive rehabilitation to regain strength in the groin. Currently, we are confident that he will recover in time to be able to play in the Test series against West Indies,” the Dawn quoted a statement from the PCB as saying on Hasan’s injury.

“We will continue review his situation as he progresses through rehabilitation stages and give an update later when we are satisfied with his successful recovery or progress,” it added.
