Right-handed batsman Mohnish Mishra, who played for the Deccan Chargers in IPL III, said the twenty20 tournament has been a learning experience and has given him a new identity.
Mohnish told reporters in Bhopal Wednesday evening that he regretted the fact that the Deccan Chargers could not make it to the final of the IPL tournament.
He played 11 matches in which he scored 166 runs at an averge of 15.09 with his maximum score being 41.
"I have learnt a lot from senior players like Deccan Chargers captain Adam Gilchrist, Herschelle Gibbs and Andrew Symonds," Mishra said.
Next year also playing for Deccan Chargers would be his priority, he said adding, however no final decision has been taken on it.
"Because of a strong batting line-up, India could do well in the T-20 World Cup tournament to be played in West Indies," he added.
