Rajasthan Royals may have no qualms in admitting that the team has been adversely affected by the ban on Ravindra Jadeja but team CEO Sean Morris on Sunday said the Saurasthra player would not have been considered even if the ban had been lifted.

Morris’ stand may come as a surprise to many since the team had written to the IPL governing council on the team’s prospects being affected by the ban and had also blamed MI for approaching the player.

“While we believe that we should fight for the young cricketer as we have invested in him. We still had to consider whether we will allow him to come back into our team,” said Morris.
