Highlight Story

I saw a fair bit of India's innings on Friday, and was impressed with how Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni revived the innings.

I have never seen Jadeja at a stretch to form an opinion, but he looked very composed and played a very mature innings. I know Shane Warne would praise him a lot, and that’s some measure of how good he can be.

For England, Ravi Bopara came good. He is a talented player, especially against spin. So for him to lead England to a win is a great effort. Ben Stokes showed first glimpses of his ability. The word is that he’s a very organised cricketer.

That’s good to know; hopefully I will get to play alongside him soon.

Of other performers, James Anderson showed why he is world class. When the ball is swinging, there is no better bowler.

The pitch took turn and Indian spinners came into their own. Ashwin bowled a beauty of a delivery to get Trott. TCM
