India's Virat Kolhi moved up one place to seventh in the One-day International (ODI) batsmen's rankings of the International Cricket Council (ICC) after a good show in the five-match series in the West Indies which the visitors won 3-2.

Kohli and Mahender Singh Dhoni, who was rested for the ODI series, are the only Indians in the top 10 list, which is headed by South Africa's Hashim Amla.

A number of young cricketers from both India and the West Indies have also improved their positions.

Rohit Sharma, who won the Player of the Series award for aggregating 257 runs, has jumped 32 places to occupy the 49th position while former West Indies captain Ramnaresh Sarwan, who was the second most successful batsman in the series with 216 runs, has moved up six places to claim the 32nd position.

Among the bowlers, Indian leggie Amit Mishra has been rewarded for his 11 wickets in the series with a jump of 108 places which has put him in the 65th position while Andre Russell, who took eight wickets, has rocketed 85 positions to the 127th spot.

Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has moved up six places to 11th position after taking four wickets while fast bowlers Praveen Kumar and Munaf Patel have improved their positions by four places each to claim the 25th and 27th spots respectively.

India has retained its second position in the team rankings but its lead over third-placed Sri Lanka has been trimmed to just one ratings point after it conceded two ratings points in the 3-2 series win.
