It is not just the Deccan Chargers who have been deprived of home advantage in IPL III. The Delhi Daredevils too are not enjoying the home conditions as much as they would have liked, thanks to a mediocre wicket.

“The Delhi pitch is becoming worn out and there is variable bounce,” Daredevils coach, Greg Shipperd, said on the eve of the crucial tie against the Mumbai Indians. However, he added that barring the hiccup against the Kings XI on Sunday, they had exploited the slow wicket to good use.

“Having said so, we also won three games on the trot at Delhi. Batting is our main strength but we did not bat well. Hopefully we will get it right,” he said.
