The authority shown by Sri Lanka in routing Bangladesh to post their third consecutive win in the tri-series should make India uncomfortable.
Sri Lanka made the hosts look extremely pedestrian after restricting Bangladesh to 249. The opening partnership of 215 between Mahela Jayawardene and Upul Tharanga had the visitors coasting to victory.
Jayawardene, who has returned to the side after an injury lay-off, was sent in to open in place of Lahiru Thirimanne. He got to his 12th ODI hundred and his partner brought up his a few balls later.
Bangladesh's chances in the tournament now look bleak. They only have hope if India lose to Sri Lanka on Sunday.
