Lee, Marsh bring cheers to the relieved Kings

As the Kings XI Punjab returned home in a cheerful mood after snapping their losing streak, some more good news awaited them.
Just before the team touched down in Chandigarh, Brett Lee, their pace spearhead, had checked in. The Aussie had returned home before the Kings XI could play their first game with an injured wrist.
“It is great to have him back. We won our first game a day before (in Chennai) and today he's returned to join the team. Good days are back,” said Kings XI vice-president, Col Arvinder Singh.
But is he fit to play? “Why would he return if he's not fit, he's raring to go. Just to be absolutely sure, we are playing a practice match tomorrow. We will take a final call on the basis of how he fares in that game,” he said. While Lee's return will bolster the rather ordinary-looking attack, the arrival of Shaun Marsh, who reached a day before, will add muscle to the batting. The left-handed opening batsman top scored in the first edition of the IPL, and his team will be hoping for a similar performance from him.
The first win and arrival of the two players have left the players optimistic. "We badly needed that win. And with these two joining the team, we have hopefully turned the corner," said a Kings XI player.
However, all is not well off the field. The Chandigarh District Court on Monday issued summons to the franchise in connection with the advertisement it had published sometime back.
