Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, who is the protagonist in the new film ‘Logan’, has backed Indian cricket team to bounce back against Australia in the four-match series after the hosts lost the first Test by 333 runs at Pune inside three days.

In a promotional clip released by Fox Star India on Youtube for his movie Logan, which is scheduled to release in India on Friday, the 48-year-old said he expected the hosts to play ‘bold’ in the upcoming games. The next Test starts in Bangalore on Saturday.

“Namaste to all my fans in India. Do you guys know that cricket is my favorite sport? And what a great journey you and your cricket team have been going through in the last few years! Your superheroes have been overpowering all the teams in the world. But my Aussie mates have just got the better of your team in the first match….eh…(wink),” Jackman says, before adding, “But I know that the Indian team is gonna play bold… bolder than ever…cause that’s what superheroes do…that’s what Logan does.”

India were defeated by Australia at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium last week as their unbeaten streak of 19 matches came to an end.

Steve O’Keefe was the pick of the bowlers with 12 wickets to his name while Steve Smith notched up his 18th Test ton to steer his side to a comfortable victory.
