Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who turned 36 this week, remains one of the guiding forces of Virat Kohli’s Indian cricket team. Dhoni, as of now, remains in the scheme of things for the 2019 ICC World Cup in England.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s role in the current India team has been described as “priceless” by Virat Kohli. The young Indian cricket team skipper has never been shy of walking up to Mahendra Singh Dhoni in seeking advice during crucial times of a match.
During the recent ICC Champions Trophy in UK, Kohli often sought Dhoni’s tips and during the semifinal against Bangladesh in Birmingham, the decision to introduce part-time off-spinner Kedar Jadhav into the attack turned out to be a masterstroke.
Dhoni has enjoyed his time in the Indian dressing room and although his batting has been below par, Kohli is in no hurry to replace India’s most successful captain in a hurry.
