The big day is almost here. Cricketer Yuvraj Singh and British-Mauritian actor Hazel Keech had their Mehendi this morning, followed by a cocktail reception in the evening. The two will tie the knot in Chandigarh on Wednesday. And if it’s a celeb wedding, there would be frenzy, right? The wedding invites were sent out to the who’s who from cricket, Bollywood and political fraternity.
“I’m just going crazy with everything. There are so many people around me. Guests have started to come in and preparations are all done. We’re so excited,” Yuvi’s mother, Shabnam Singh, told Hindustan Times over the phone.

Hazel will wear a JJ Valaya anarkali suit for the gurudwara wedding tomorrow, and Yuvraj will wear a sherwani by the designer.
There will be another round of wedding rituals in Goa on December 2. “It’s a small affair. Only family and close friends will be present... around 100 people,” reveals a source. Hazel will wear a red and gold Benarsi sari for that, and an Indigo jumpsuit for the after party. Not to forget, a gala reception will be held in Delhi on December 7.
- Yuvi and his mother Shabnam personally met PM Modi and invited him for the wedding.
- Top politicians have also been invited for the reception in Delhi on December 7.
“The Indian cricket team will definitely be there for most functions. Besides top politicians, who’ve been invited for the Delhi reception, the guestlist includes the Ambanis, Bachchans, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Aamir Khan, Soha and Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan and Neha Dhupia,” adds the source.
“I might attend the wedding but it all depends on my work schedule, as I have just started shooting for TV show, Roadies. So whenever I have a day off, I’ll make it,” says Dhupia.
There were reports that cricketer Virat Kohli and girlfriend, actor Anushka Sharma, might attend the wedding together, however, it seems unlikely now. “Anushka arrived in Chandigarh (on Monday) a day before the Mehendi function, but left soon after meeting Yuvi’s family,” says the source.
