Toss : Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bowl first on a wicket that seems to have something for the bowlers up-front. There is a tinge of grass, that might just do a bit initially and based on the wicket, Hyderabad have opted to leave out Chaminda Vaas and go for his tall and lanky compatriot Nuwan Zoysa. Mumbai, coming off the Harbhajan-Sreesanth saga, have included two locals in a line-up that looks batting heavy. Ajinkya Rahane, the promising hard-hitting bat replaces Harbhajan Singh, while Siddharth Chitnis, the 19-year-old offie comes in for Saurabh Tiwary.

The Dr. DY Patil Stadium, is all decked up and ready to host its first match of international standard. For those who many not know about the stadium, this stadium is located in Nerul, in Navi Mumbai - making it the first cricket stadium in the area. It boasts of a capacity of 55,000+ - just a shade more than the Wankhede Stadium and with shorter boundaries, the batsmen are in for a run-fest. This game is a big one for both teams, as they are yet to register their first win of the tournament. Mumbai had a chance to make amends against Mohali, but the game came into light for all the wrong reasons, and coupled with that, a Mumbai loss.
