Putting to rest all speculations, BCCI president N Srinivasan, who was forced to step aside in the wake of the T20 spot-fixing scandal, arrived to attend the Board's Working Committee meeting in Kolkata on Sunday.

Srinivasan, who is based in Chennai, was originally scheduled to arrive here on Saturday evening, but reached in the morning and went straight to the hotel where the meeting will take place on Sunday afternoon.

At the airport, he was received by Cricket Association of Bengal's treasurer Biswarup Dey, who escorted him to the venue of the meeting.

Srinivasan was dealt a major setback when the Supreme Court deferred the hearing on his petition, challenging the Bombay high court's order which declared the BCCI probe panel appointed to investigate the spot-fixing scandal as "illegal and unconstitutional".

The hearing will now be conducted on September 11, and notices have been sent to Srinivasan and the BCCI on the matter.

Another setback for Srinivasan and the Board was the apex court's decision to admit a Cricket Association of Bihar petition, seeking a fresh panel to inquire into the T20 spot-fixing scandal, in which the BCCI chief's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan was also implicated.

With no headway in sight, it remains to be seen whether the BCCI annual general meeting would be held before September 30.
