Highlight Story

Mohali holds a very significant place in Sreesanth's life. It was here that he was first picked for the national squad in 2005; and it was here that he suffered one of the worst nightmares on Friday when Harbhajan Singh slapped him.

Sreesanth was almost an anonymous name when he first came here for the Challenger Trophy in 2005. However, he impressed one and all with his quick and swinging deliveries and before anyone knew, he was donning India colours.

When the IPL came calling, the Kerala speedster was picked to play for Mohali. "Mohali has a special place in my life. It has been very lucky for me and I love the place and people here," said Sreesanth a couple of days back when a reporter asked him about his special connection with the place. But the lucky connection snapped on Friday night when Harbhajan slapped him, leaving him in tears. It would be interesting to know how Sreesanth views the place now.

A different being

All eyes were on Sreesanth when he came on to bowl on Sunday. Everyone was interested in knowing if the firebrand pacer would go about his bowling in his usual aggressive manner, coupled with usual antics.
